Paid To Teach Piano Lessons

Paid To Teach Piano Lessons, (for fun and PROFIT!)

Most musicians grow up dreaming of being paid for their craft. Many grow up and find that they are more than content to be paid to teach piano because they are able to take something they enjoy and make a profit from it. Most people would be more than grateful to have a profitable career doing something they love. Being paid to teach piano is a bonus for many and for others it is like a blessing. Piano is something that gets in your blood, music is passion and playing is an outlet for those emotions. Being paid to teach piano and share those emotions is not only a gift to yourself but to your students as well.

One thing that always amazes me is the fact that we are often hesitant to charge what we are worth as musicians and as teachers. We often feel that being paid to teach piano at all is reward enough. While that is a noble thought, it doesn't exactly put food on our family’s tables. The small amount that most piano teachers charge when being paid to teach piano hardly seems worth the effort, love, and hours they put into learning their instrument.

Many professionals have no trouble at all charging for their skills. They justify the expense by the years of education it took in order to achieve their level of proficiency. Most musicians study their instruments for the better part of a lifetime rather than picking it up one day while in college and going from there. We also rack up student loan debt to get our degrees in our instrument of choice. Whether we are being paid to teach piano or the flute or the tuba, it took us many years of learning in order to develop the necessary skills. It makes no sense to me that we are often hesitant to charge more than $25 per hour of studio time. It almost seems as though we think we shouldn't really be paid to teach piano but should do so as a community service.

Think about it, not only are you spending time teaching you are providing time outside the classroom in order to design lesson plans that are appropriate. You also invest the time and energy necessary in order to find tools and aids that will assist your students. Also, you devote time to recitals, concerts, advertising, and many other endeavors related to the teaching of piano. Don't be afraid to charge what your time is worth when you are being paid to teach piano lessons. Teaching piano lessons is after all, how you earn your living and contribute to your household budget. It is also as legitimate of a profession as any other.

These problems can be addressed in the ebook we offer and many more. You will learn how to value your time, how to charge what you are worth, remain competitive and advertise properly. If that isn't enough, you will also learn how to keep your business on target, on task, and most importantly, how to set goals for the growth of your business. Most people put a great deal of time and attention into the details of their business without putting much thought at all into the operation of their business. This is where we can help and you can concentrate on getting paid to teach piano lessons.
