Piano Teaching For Profit
Piano Teaching For Profit
Piano teaching for profit? Hah! And I bet you thought that you were teaching your pupil how to tickle the ivory on that baby grand just for fun. But seriously, you do need to ask yourself if you really are piano teaching for profit or just for money. There is a key difference between the concept of piano teaching for profit and simply teaching piano for money. And that key difference is the word PROFIT.
You see, far too many piano teachers spend way too much time cracking the music books with their students for far too little pay. Sure, you may earn enough from your Rick Wakeman protégées to keep in stride with your bills, but are you earning enough for that cabin on the lake or your retirement? Sadly, for most piano teachers, the answer is "No".
Why does the concept of piano teaching for profit escape even the most dedicated piano instructor? Is it because he or she is too busy with ear training, or helping a student migrate from those old black and white keys to the digital keyboard? I don't think so. I think that the real problem is that the average piano teacher does not approach their business as a real business. It's more like a life-long love affair with ragtime and boogie woogie, or duets and solos that also happen to pay enough to make it through the end of next week.
There are millions of entrepreneurs who are running successful businesses as consultants, freelancers and other service providers. They are making their dream salary while enjoying all of the benefits of being self-employed. The difference between these entrepreneurs, and the average dedicated piano teacher is one word: Entrepreneur.
No matter what service these successful people are providing, they have never lost track of the fact that besides doing it for the love of what they do, they're doing it for profit. And that's the mind set that you need to develop if you want to make the leap from piano teaching for money to piano teaching for profit.
Is that leap hard to make? Is it too far from here to there? No, it isn't. But is does require you to re-examine the things you are doing in your business today so you can make a plan for a better and more profitable business tomorrow. It takes a willingness to realize that you are in the business of being in business as well as the business of being the best music coach your pupil could ever have.
You're going to need to re-think your pricing structure, advertising strategy, and you're going to have to take some steps to set yourself apart from all of your competitors so new piano students will beat a path to your door.
You can do it. You can get that cabin on the lake while living a lifestyle of abundance. All you have to do is start piano teaching for profit. ...
There is a way to turn your love for the piano, love of teaching and the joy of seeing your students progress into a well paying profession! You can learn to receive exceptional financial rewards for your talents and gifts.
Unfortunately, until now, there hasn't been a resource focused on helping piano teachers become more profitable. The research has been done, the methods have been tested and this little known information has been compiled into a helpful ebook.
