Other unexpected things that go with the territory of your decision to teach private piano lessons are the expenses involved. You need to buy some materials to have on hand to teach your students. You will need to buy learning aids for your students and will want to establish a lending library of practice materials to save on the expenses for your students. There will also be expenses involved in putting on concerts and recitals and parties to be held throughout the year. Be realistic and consider the big picture when planning to teach private piano and you will be able to enjoy the rewards much better.
