For those dedicated and patient enough to teach kids piano, there are many rewards that may not be immediately obvious. You might now think you have what it takes to teach kids piano and you very well might find that your original thoughts are incorrect. I think you'll be delighted in this case to find out that you were wrong. Kids, the younger the better, are much easier to teach than teens and adults. Smaller children often do not have preconceived ideas of what they will be doing, how they should sound, and you generally do not have to 'un teach' smaller children bad habits (as they have not yet had the opportunity to develop them).

Teaching kid’s piano is as much fun for you as the teacher as you decide to make it. You can have fun with your students playing finger games, using flash cards, learning cute little songs, and watching as the correlation from note to note begins to resonate within the children you teach.
