Do self-employed jobs count as work experience for undergraduate college applications?
I plan on teaching piano to children (just like tutoring, but I’m teaching piano instead), but since I’ll be doing it by myself and earning money with cash, not paychecks, would I be allowed to write that job experience down for college applications?

I was educated in Russia, with a Bachelor Degree. I live in Canada now and Im interested in becoming a teacher. I have a background in music and currently teaching piano at a private school.

Put an ad in the paper
Ask around at local schools and see if you can put up a flyer somewhere or send one home with kids
Put up a flyer at your local library
Go to local music stores and bookstores and put flyers there, too.

What is a job that icould have that would deal with music?
