Help with college…. !?
I have no idea where to go for College.
I want to be a high school English teacher.
I would find that job very fulfilling. On the side though, like during summer, or whenever I wanted, I would want to write, or be an author.
What classes do I need to take?
What would I major in?
And after I retire from that, I would like to become a piano teacher.
I love the piano, and I would love to teach it.
Would I minor in music?
What is a minor, exactly?
Haha.
think
Major = important, vigorous
Minor = unsatasfilling, un-urgent
so a minor class is kinda liek an elective in high school ormiddle school
for example, biology is mandatory in college,
so if you dont’ want to become a biologist when you grow up, biology will be your minor class

that depends on where you live/want to go to college. you’ll need to major in English or education

well, wherever you go to college is not that important for becoming an English teacher. You will want a college with an education major though.
There are 2 main reasons that people become teachers: July and August.
do what you want in the summer .
You are worrying about what to do 45 years down the road?
Get real…….

you should research good teaching schools and look for them in an area you would want to live for the next 4 years. you could do anything you want in the summer months, if you want to write go ahead and do that.
you could also teach piano in the summers and not wait unitl you retire. a minor is basically where you take half of the credits required for a major. you should look for a school that also allous you to minor in music. collegeboard.com is a great site for college searches
good luck!
