I have been playing the piano for 10 years and I pay $18 USD for 30 minutes per week for a very good piano teacher. I think that is the norm here in Florida. I go to my teacher's house, so if the teacher were to come to you, she would charge around $20 or $22 USD. It is very hard to find a piano teacher for $10 unless they are a student in college or something.
References :
Calculate the distance she drives to your house there and back home. You want to make sure you reimburse her for that amount first. Then I say about $8-$10 on top of that, a half hour isnt that long at all really. So if you add it up or break it down she would make $16-$20 an hour if she stayed for the whole hour. But she should be happy with making 8 or 10 dollars if she knows her gas is covered also.
